It was a busy two days in Van Wert County Common Pleas Court as 23 people appeared on Tuesday and Wednesday of this week. Judge Martin Burchfield presided over each of the hearings.

Twelve defendants were charged with various criminal charges. All defendants pleaded not guilty.

Seth Waggamon, 42, of Delphos, two counts of rape, a first-degree felony, and four counts of aggravated sexual assault, a third-degree felony. Bail was set at $100,000 cash or surety and Waggamon was ordered to have no contact with the victim. A preliminary meeting was scheduled for Wednesday, May 29, at 8:30 a.m.

Summer Jones, 34, of Defiance, two counts of attempted murder, first-degree felonies; two counts of aggravated assault, second-degree felonies; Two counts of aggravated assault, fourth-degree felonies, and one count of domestic violence, a first-degree misdemeanor. Bail was set at $100,000 cash or surety, with electronic monitored house arrest upon release. She was ordered to have no contact with the victims and a preliminary hearing was scheduled for May 22 at 8:30 a.m. (see full story above)

Abbey Eutsler, 37, of Van Wert, three counts of violating a protective order, a fifth-degree felony. Bail was set at $25,000 cash or commercial surety, along with a no-contact order. A pretrial conference was scheduled for Wednesday, May 15, at 8 a.m.

Kayla Gladieux, 33, of Ft. Wayne, burglary, a fifth-degree felony, and unauthorized use of a vehicle, a first-degree misdemeanor. Bail was set at $10,000 cash or surety and a pretrial conference was scheduled for Wednesday, May 29 at 8 a.m.

Lachrica Patrick, 49, of Rockford, aggravated drug possession, a fifth-degree felony, and cocaine possession, a fifth-degree felony. She was released on bond and a preliminary hearing was scheduled for Wednesday, May 22, at 8 a.m.

Jeffrey Welker, 57, of Ohio City, OVI, an unclassified misdemeanor, and improper handling of firearms in a motor vehicle, a fifth-degree felony. He was released on a surety bond and a preliminary hearing was scheduled for 8:30 a.m. Wednesday, May 29.

Joshua Williams, 29, of Van Wert, aggravated drug possession, a third-degree felony, and theft, a first-degree misdemeanor. He was released on bond and ordered not to be at Walmart. A preliminary hearing was scheduled for Wednesday, May 29, at 8:30 a.m.

Shawn Thomas, 39, of Van Wert, trespassing when a person is or is likely to be present, a fourth-degree felony. He was released on a bond and ordered to have no contact with the victim. A preliminary meeting was scheduled for Wednesday, May 29, at 8:30 a.m.
