33-year-old motorcyclist killed in accident in King and Queen County

KING AND QUEEN COUNTY, Va. (WRIC) – A 33-year-old motorcyclist was killed in a crash near Newtown Road Sunday evening.

According to the Virginia State Police (VSP), on Sunday, July 28, at approximately 8:10 p.m., they responded to a crash on Route 660 near Newton Road involving 33-year-old Thomas Leverne Ball Jr.

Ball was driving a 2023 Suzuki motorcycle when it left the road at excessive speed and struck a tree. He sustained injuries from which he died at the scene. He was wearing a helmet at the time of the accident.

The crash remains under investigation.
