Bridgeport woman arrested after swatting incident

A Bridgeport woman was arrested for calling 911 to report a hostage situation she made up, police said.

Dorothy Smith, 34, turned herself in Thursday morning and is charged with first-degree false reporting of an incident.

When police arrived at the address provided by Smith, they said they arrested 27-year-old Juwaun Terry for illegal possession of a firearm and escaping from a halfway house in New Haven.
