Police: Man taken to hospital after robbery and stabbing

At 11:02 a.m. on May 31, a man was walking in the 100 block of South Old Glebe Road when another man approached him, stole his jewelry and an undisclosed amount of cash, and stabbed the victim with a knife before fleeing the scene on foot, Arlington police said.

The victim was taken to a nearby hospital with serious but non-life-threatening injuries.

Officers responding to the incident established a perimeter and searched the area with the assistance of a police helicopter, but the suspect was not located.

The suspect is described as a black man in his mid-20s, approximately 5’10” tall, wearing a black hoodie and blue jeans.
