Search and rescue workers were seen trying to free a woman from under the rubble. One of the rescuers added that at least ten buildings were leveled in the strike and numerous buildings were missing.

Israel carried out new military raids this month in parts of the northern Gaza Strip, where it declared an end to major operations in January. At the time, it also predicted that its forces would return to prevent a regrouping of the Palestinian Islamist group that rules Gaza.
