SEQUOYAH COUNTY, OKLAHOMA. –

According to the sheriff’s office, a double murder has been under investigation in Sequoyah County since Wednesday morning.

CBS affiliate station in Arkansas reported that two people were found dead at a gas station between Sallisaw and Gans on Highway 64 on Tuesday evening.

A man and a woman were found dead at the LaFerry propane store, the SCSO said. How they were killed and what the motive was are still unclear. The victims have not yet been identified.

Sheriff Lane said it appears the suspect stole a car from the scene and fled.
