Man shot in the leg in Yonkers, no arrests yet

A 29-year-old man was shot in the leg in Yonkers on Tuesday evening, police said.

According to investigators, the shooting occurred before 8 p.m. near Lafayette Place and Palisade Avenue.

The man was taken to hospital for treatment of non-life-threatening injuries.

Police did not initially release any further details about the shooting, including the identity of the man or possible suspects.
