Gang rape: 2 persons arrested for gang raping 14-year-old girl after luring her through social media | Raipur News

Raipur: Two men raped a 14-year-old girl after one of them befriended her on social media and lured her to meet her at a remote place in Gaurela Pendra Marwahi district of Chhattisgarh. The duo abandoned her and fled the spot when she fell unconscious. The accused were arrested. The incident took place on May 21 when youth Vivek Porte called the girl for a meeting. The duo were travelling on a bike when Porte stopped the bike to meet a friend and offered to give him a lift as part of their plan. It was barely a 15-day acquaintance between the girl and Porte and he had put pressure on her to meet him. Porte drove to an empty poultry farm located a few kilometres from Pendra region in Kodwahi village. He told the girl that they would stay there for a while and then leave. But both the youths sexually abused her and raped her in turns. It continued like this until the girl fell unconscious and the two accused abandoned her at the spot and fled. When the girl regained consciousness, she shouted for help and sought help from the villagers. They opened the doors of the poultry farm which the accused had locked from outside. It seemed like they were planning to return after some time. The minor was rescued and based on her complaint, an FIR was filed under the POCSO Act. She had to be admitted to a hospital where she is being treated. The police have arrested the accused.
