Officer on dirt bike hit by Polaris Slingshot, police say – NBC10 Philadelphia

A Philadelphia police officer is recovering after being struck by a three-wheeled motorcycle while riding a dirt bike, officials said.

The officer, assigned to the ATV division, was riding a dirt bike north on Broad Street when he was struck by a Polaris Slingshot that was also traveling north on Broad Street, investigators said.

The officer was transported to the hospital where he is expected to be treated and released. The officer’s dirt bike sustained minor damage.

Police made an arrest in connection with the accident but did not release the identity of the suspect or the charges against him.

The Philadelphia Police Department’s ATV Division is tasked with cracking down on illegal dirt bikes and ATVs on city streets.
