Israel claims to have attacked a Hezbollah military structure in southern Lebanon

Israel said it had attacked a Hezbollah military structure in southern Lebanon.

In a new statement released on Saturday, the military said warplanes had attacked a building in the Kfar Kila area.

It said two rockets were also fired from Lebanon towards the Miron area in the Upper Galilee region, but there were no reports of casualties.

Since the outbreak of the Gaza war last October, cross-border tensions between Israel and Hezbollah have persisted.

The conflict escalated when Hezbollah fired more than 100 rockets at Israeli military positions on Thursday in response to the killing of one of its top commanders.

The group says it will stop attacking Israel once the war in the Gaza Strip ends.

The Israeli military proposed on Friday to end its military offensive in the southern Gaza Strip and concentrate its efforts on an offensive in southern Lebanon, AA writes.
