Investigations underway after fire at Pine Bluff Convention Center

PINE BLUFF, Arkansas – A small fire was reported at a convention center in Pine Bluff Friday morning.

According to the Pine Bluff Fire Department, the incident occurred at 1 Convention Center Drive when firefighters were dispatched around 5:28 a.m.

Upon arrival, firefighters were informed that the fire was originating from a hotel room on the third floor. Reports indicate the fire was contained to that room and damage to the room was minor.

Fire officials confirmed that no one was injured in the incident and the cause of the fire is still under investigation.
