4 dead in off-road vehicle accident in northeast Colorado

The Colorado State Patrol is investigating a fatal crash involving an off-road vehicle and a chassis-mounted work vehicle
in Morgan County on Wednesday. State police troopers arrived at the scene of the accident on Morgan County Road C and Morgan County Road 31 at approximately 3:34 p.m.

When police arrived, they found that the accident involved a Polaris RZR and a Dodge Ram 5500. There were four people in the SUV and one person in the truck.

Investigators said the Polaris entered the intersection northbound without yielding the right of way at the stop sign and then collided with the Ram as it was traveling westbound through the intersection.

All four occupants of the SUV died at the scene of the accident. The driver of the truck was taken to hospital with serious injuries.

The identities of those killed in the crash have not been disclosed.
