Director Nikhil Nagesh Bhat reveals that a personal incident inspired him to make Kill

Director of action thriller Kill, Nikhil Nagesh Bhat, reacts to his film being called the ‘most violent film ever’. The film, which is scheduled for release on July 5, 2024, is backed by Dharma Productions and Sikhya Entertainment.

Speaking to a leading media portal, Nikhil revealed how his personal experiences inspired him to write the film: “As a student, I was travelling in the sleeper car of the Bombay Janta Express from Patna to Pune in 1994-95. One night, I was startled when the train stopped at a small station. I realised that we were not at Allahabad, the expected stop. Then the news spread that the AC coaches were being robbed! In my coach, a group of soldiers from Danapur were giggling, convinced that they had prevented any attack on our sleeper car. This incident stayed with me for years.”

The film tells the story of a soldier who becomes a killing machine after his girlfriend is kidnapped. The film stars debutants Lakshya Lalwani, Tanya Maniktala and Raghav Juyal in the lead roles.
