Two houses struck by lightning during a storm

SOUTHPORT, NC (WECT) – Southport Police said Monday afternoon that two homes were struck by lightning during the storm that passed through earlier in the day.

No one was reported injured and only minor damage was caused to the houses.

“Southport Fire and Police Departments and Fire Rescue Units responded to both calls,” the SPD said in a statement.
