Suspect arrested for 2023 OTR murder

CINCINNATI (WXIX) – More than five months after a man was killed in Over-the-Rhine, a suspect has been arrested.

Eric Harris, 25, is in custody for the murder of 34-year-old Shawntase Beavers on December 23, 2023, according to Cincinnati police.

The shooting that killed Beavers two days before Christmas occurred in the 1700 block of Republic Street, police said.

The 34-year-old died at the scene of the accident.
