Teenager shot and killed in northeast DC

WASHINGTON (DC News Now) — The Metropolitan Police Department (MPD) said a teenager was shot and killed in northeast DC on Saturday night.

The MPD said it was called to a shooting in the area of ​​1700 Gales Street and 1700 Rosedale Street around 10:40 a.m.

When officers arrived at the scene, they found an unconscious and not breathing teenager.

He was taken to a hospital.

Police said the homicide squad had been asked for assistance.
