Woman raped by brother-in-law and friend in Hafizabad

A woman was drugged and then raped by her brother-in-law and his friend in Hafizabad, television channel 24NewsHD reported on Tuesday.

According to the FIR registered on the complaint of the victim’s father, his daughter used to live alone at her home. “Her husband’s brother, his accomplice, took advantage of this and raped her. They also threatened my daughter,” the FIR said.

However, after the suspects came to know about the FIR, they fled.

Police said they were searching for them and that they would soon end up behind bars.

Pakistani expatriate murdered in Hafizabad over property

A man who had come to Hafizabad from Spain lost his life when four people tortured him and his brother for “a piece of land”.

Police said they had launched a manhunt after filing a complaint against the attackers.

According to the FIR registered on the complaint of Shamraiz, the brother of the deceased, four men armed with sticks tortured Amjad and his brother, resulting in the death of the former while his brother sustained injuries.

The FIR further stated that Mansab, Amjad’s elder brother, had bought one hectare of land from Malik Mudassir, which enraged Mansab’s rivals, who then beat Amjad and his brother to death after an exchange of fire.

The deceased was supposed to return to Spain on the day of his murder.
