Glasgow’s M8 closed due to emergency

Part of the M8 in Glasgow was closed due to an emergency.

Traffic Scotland said the westbound carriageway of the motorway was closed at Junction 27 (Arkleston Interchange) following a collision.

There are currently 999 emergency personnel in action.

It is not known whether anyone was injured, but the highway authority says traffic in the area is “increasing.”

Police Scotland, Scottish Fire and Rescue Service and Scottish Ambulance Service have been contacted for comment.
