Near record highs today, heat warning in effect for south-central Pennsylvania

Warning: Near record highs today, extreme heat warning in effect for south-central Pennsylvania

Highs will be above 35 degrees, but in most areas it will feel like 40 degrees by Tuesday.

Heat and high humidity. Our News Eight Storm Team forecast for this morning calls for passing clouds. It will warm up quickly, though. I see temperatures around 29 degrees in the afternoon. Then the warning period begins. Note that the feels will climb to 40 degrees, with a high of 32. There could be a few thunderstorms tonight. The highest chance will be north of the Pennsylvania Turnpike. Isolated thunderstorms could be strong or severe. And that’s what I’ll show you right now tonight. Partly cloudy, maybe a scattered thunderstorm early in the morning, then just muggy at 21 degrees. Tomorrow night. AGAIN BLAZING HEAT AND HUMIDITY. ANOTHER WARNING DAY BECAUSE YOU LOOK AT THOSE HIGHS. ABOVE 35 AT LEAST 30… SAME FORECAST REPEATS TOMORROW. WE’LL MAKE IT ONE MORE DAY, ON WEDNESDAY, BUT IT WON’T BE AS HOT. THAT’S THE RESULT. BUT BY THURSDAY I REALLY THINK THE HUMIDITY WILL DOWN AND IT WILL FEEL COMFORTABLE BY FRIDAY. WEATHER AND HEALTH UPDATE TODAY. NOT MUCH CHANGE FROM THE LAST DAYS. STILL LOW POLLEN LEVELS, MODERATE AIR QUALITY AND OUR UV INDEX IS PRETTY HIGH WITH A 20 MINUTE BURN. SOME DRIZZLE COMING FROM THE CLOUDS, MAINLY THROUGH DAUPHIN AND LEBANON COUNTIES. IF YOU SEE ANYTHING AT ALL THIS MORNING MOVING FAST EAST, WE HAVE A DECLINE OF THUNDERSTORMS HERE IN THE MIDWEST. UNFORTUNATELY IT WON’T COOL US DOWN, BUT A DISTURBANCE COULD PRODUCE SOME RAIN STORMS AND STORMS LATER TODAY. SO WE HAVE A VERY LOW RISK OF SEVERE WEATHER FOR MOST OF THE AREA. A SMALL RISK FAR NORTH IN THE YELLOW COLOR THAT IS JUST CROSSING OUR NORTHERNMOST COUNTY. SO TONIGHT, NORTH OF THE FREEWAY, THE CHANCE OF A SCORPIO OR THUNDERSTORM IS HIGH AGAIN, AND SPOKEN STORMS MAY BRING UP HAIL, WIND, AND SHORT BREAKS OF HEAVY RAIN. YOU CAN SEE IT ON THE PREDICTOR HERE. MOST OF THE VALLEY WILL REMAIN DRY ALL DAY BUT THERE MAY BE SOME EVENING SPICES TONIGHT. IT WILL CALM AND CLEAR UP. TOMORROW WE START THE DAY WITH BRIGHT HOT SUNSHINE. WE FINISH THE DAY WITH SOME RAIN AND BREAKING UP THUNDERSTORMS. IF YOU ARE ONE OF THE LUCKY COMPANY, ONE OF THESE SPICES MIGHT COOL YOU DOWN FOR A SHORT TIME, BUT WEDNESDAY IS THE LAST DAY FOR THE HEAT AND HUMIDITY BEFORE A COLD FRONT. WEDNESDAY WILL SIMPLY HAVE RAIN AND SNOWS. SOME OF IT COULD POSSIBLY BE HEAVY OR HEAVY. WE WILL BE MONITORING THAT FOR YOU. BUT ON THURSDAY THE HEAT AND HUMIDITY WILL FINALLY LET GO. NOTE THAT ON FRIDAY WE HAVE THE WORD “COMFORTABLE” IN THE FORECAST. I HAVE NOT BEEN ABLE TO USE THAT MUCH THIS SUMMER. SATURDAY AND SUNDAY ARE TYPICAL FOR THE
