Taiwanese artist Shi Jin-hua dies in traffic accident | Taiwan News

TAIPEI (Taiwan News) — Taiwanese conceptual artist Shi Jin-hua (石晉華) died in a scooter accident on Sanduo 2nd Road in Kaohsiung at 1 p.m. on Saturday (June 28).

A 20-year-old man surnamed Chen (陳), who suffered minor injuries, is suspected of hitting Shi from behind while riding a scooter. Police said neither of them had been drinking alcohol. UDN.

Over the years, Shi had gained recognition primarily as a conceptual artist whose works incorporate the physical act of creation and have been regularly featured at Art Basel Hong Kong, the Taipei Biennale, the Asian Art Biennial and in numerous solo exhibitions.
