Truck driver killed in accident on I-40 in Cheatham County

CHEATHAM COUNTY, Tenn. (WKRN) – A 60-year-old truck driver was killed in a crash on Interstate 40 in Cheatham County Thursday.

The accident occurred around noon on the eastbound lanes near mile marker 184.


The Tennessee Highway Patrol reported that Paul Stevens of Georgia was driving a Freightliner tractor-trailer eastbound when the truck ran off the right side of the road near a wooded area.

The truck was able to get back onto the highway before it overturned on the road.

No further information was released initially.
