Motorcyclist from Danbury dies in single-vehicle accident

DANBURY – A Danbury man was pronounced dead at the scene of a motorcycle crash on Brushy Hill Road Monday evening, according to Danbury police.

Charles Preston, 57, was found by first responders around 7:30 p.m. after his motorcycle went off the road and hit an embankment.

According to police, Preston suffered serious injuries and died at the scene of the accident.

Preliminary findings from the Danbury Police Department’s Accident Investigation Team indicate that Preston lost control while negotiating a curve before leaving the road.

Investigators are looking for witnesses or people who have information about the motorcycle’s behavior before the accident.
