Fredericksburg police search for ‘dangerous suspect’

The warrants range from hit-and-run to an attended vehicle, felony to reckless driving.

FREDERICKSBURG, Va. (AP) — A man wanted on aggravated kidnapping charges in Pennsylvania is facing a slew of new arrest warrants in Virginia after he tried to elude Fredericksburg police last month.

Eugene Montaque of Westmoreland County was driving a minivan around the 1400 block of Airport Avenue in Fredericksburg on April 30 around 8:50 p.m. when police attempted to make a traffic stop.

According to police, Montaque then drove off, drove across the front yard of several homes and crashed into a parked Ford Fiesta. He crashed into a second car near Ruffins Pond before the pursuit eventually ended at the intersection of Tidewater Trail and Route 17 in Spotsylvania County and police were unable to find him.
