Man shot in domestic incident in Washington Twp.; woman arrested

Officers found a 28-year-old man with a gunshot wound inside the home. Life-saving measures were attempted, but the man was pronounced dead at the scene, the Montgomery County Sheriff’s Office reported.

The man’s identity was not disclosed.

A 27-year-old woman was arrested along with other people who were in the house during the shooting.

“Preliminary investigation indicates this was a domestic incident and the man was shot at some point during the altercation,” the sheriff’s office said in a press release.

A woman who called 911 said she shot the man in the chest in a back bedroom.

“My boyfriend beat me like crazy and I had to attack him with a gun,” she said.

The shooting is being investigated by the sheriff’s special investigations unit.
