Kansas City, Kansas police officer recovers after stabbing

A Kansas City, Kansas, police officer is recovering after a stabbing. Police said the officer was starting his shift Sunday night when he was approached in a parking lot around 10 p.m. Investigators said the officer believed the person was acting “bizarre.” Police said the man then pulled out a sharp object and stabbed the officer twice. The man fled north after the attack. Police said the officer’s injuries are not life-threatening.
