Koforidua SECTECH employee involved in accident; one person presumed dead

The employees were reportedly on their way to the funeral of a colleague’s spouse in Akwamufie.

One person was killed in an accident involving employees of the Koforidua Senior High Technical School (SECTECH).

According to reports, the school staff were on their way to Akwamufie by school bus to attend the funeral of a colleague’s spouse when the accident occurred on the Somanya-Asesieso road in Akuapim North Municipality of the Eastern Region.

A video of the accident scene seen by GhanaWeb showed some of the bus’s occupants being loaded into a truck and taken to a medical facility.

The deceased was identified as a kitchen worker at the school, according to a report by adomonline.com.
