Arizona man who sexually abused minors sentenced to 20 years in prison

PHOENIX – An Arizona man was sentenced to 235 months in prison in 2021 for sexually abusing a minor. The U.S. Attorney’s Office for the District of Arizona announced this on Friday.

Roy Samuel Paredes, 64, abused a young girl on Tohono O’odham Nation land in Sells, about 65 miles west of Tucson.

According to the press release, Paredes pleaded guilty in November 2023.

The sentence includes life probation.

The Tohono O’odham Nation Police Department cooperated with the FBI in the investigation.
