Orange County Sheriff’s deputy resigns amid investigation

According to the sheriff’s office, Ken Bost officially resigned on July 3, 2024. He was hired in July 2020 and previously worked as a Rose City Marshal.

ORANGE COUNTY, Texas – An Orange County deputy under investigation by the Texas Rangers resigned earlier this month.

According to the sheriff’s office, Ken Bost officially resigned on July 3, 2024. He was hired in July 2020 and previously worked as a Rose City Marshal.

12News has reached out to the Texas Department of Public Safety for further details on the investigation.

“At the request of the Orange County Sheriff’s Office, the Texas Rangers (DPS) are conducting an investigation into the allegations. We would refer any further questions to the Orange County Sheriff’s Office or District Attorney’s Office,” said an email from the Texas Department of Public Safety’s Office of Media and Communications.

Further details of the allegations against Bost have not yet been disclosed; the investigation is ongoing.

There is currently no case pending against Bost in the Orange County District Attorney’s Office, Krispen Walker of the district attorney’s office told 12News.
