BOCA RATON, FL (BocaNewsNow.com) (Copyright © 2024 MetroDesk Media, LLC) — Get ready for the rainy season to finally begin. Boca Raton, Delray Beach, Boynton Beach and much of South Palm Beach County will be wet this week as the first week of the Atlantic hurricane season begins.

Meteorologists at the National Weather Service are predicting rain for Sunday night, with thunderstorms possible from 2 a.m. The lowest temperatures from Sunday into Monday will be just over 25 degrees. Hail is possible. It will rain on Monday morning, with thunderstorms expected for the rest of the day. Rainfall will be up to 1.3 cm.

The rain warning will continue from Monday night into Tuesday, when more thunderstorms are expected, with highs in the 30s. Showers will continue from Tuesday night into Wednesday, Wednesday night into Thursday, and Thursday night into Friday. Expect highs in the 30s to 35s each day, with lows in the 25s overnight.

There is currently no activity in the tropical Atlantic. Hurricane season began on Saturday and is expected to be among the worst of any region prone during the Atlantic hurricane season.
