APC suspends another Ondo Guber aspirant, 4 Excos

The All Progressives Congress (APC) in Ode-Aye Ward 1 of Okitipupa Local Government Area of ​​Ondo State has suspended Engr Folake Omogoroye, a gubernatorial candidate in the April 20, 2024 primary election.

Omogoroye is the latest gubernatorial aspirant to be suspended by the party after Senator Jimoh Ibrahim, the Senator for Ondo South.

Besides Omogoroye, four district heads have been suspended: Ayesan Tunde, organisation secretary; Jemiken Seyi, deputy public relations officer; Adebayo Omobayo, deputy social secretary and Eweje Omotayo, deputy treasurer.

Omogoroye’s suspension was contained in a letter made available to journalists on Monday evening.

The suspension was announced by the party’s Ode Aye 1 ward executive committee in Okitipupa Local Government Area of ​​Ondo State.

The suspension letter was signed by Akinsowola Awodele, the district chairman, and supported by 12 other Exco members.

According to the letter, Omogoroye was suspended for “anti-party activities and blatant disobedience to the constituent authority of the party.”

The candidate had turned to the court because of alleged irregularities and requested the annulment of the gubernatorial primaries recently held in the state.
