West Virginia Teacher Aid Arrested for Alleged Sexual Abuse of 7-Year-Old Student

CHARLESTON, W.Va. – A West Virginia first-grade teacher’s assistant faces prison time for allegedly sexually abusing a 7-year-old student.

According to officials, on Monday, May 20, West Virginia State Trooper NP Clifton received information about an alleged sexual assault that had occurred at North View Elementary School in Clarksburg, West Virginia.


Officials say that on Friday, May 24, Tpr. Clifton obtained arrest warrants for 50-year-old Victor Chess of Clarksburg, West Virginia for first degree sexual abuse, sexual abuse by a parent, guardian or person of trust, and sexual abuse by a school employee.

According to officials, Chess turned himself in to the WVSP Bridgeport Detachment and was arrested without incident.

According to official information, the investigation is still ongoing and ongoing.
