Cassie reacts to heartbreaking video of Sean “Diddy” Combs attacking her in a hotel hallway

Singer and model Cassie Ventura has issued a moving statement in response to a recently shared video showing her being brutally attacked in a hotel hallway by her ex-boyfriend Sean “Diddy” Combs.

In a touching Instagram post, she urged her 10 million followers to “believe the victims the first time.”

Combs also released a statement about the heartbreaking footage, admitting his wrongdoing and saying, “I was disgusted when I did it. I still am now.”

He added: “I went and sought professional help. I started therapy, rehab. I had to ask God for his grace and mercy. I am so sorry.”

In her statement, Ventura thanked everyone who had shown her love and support, including her “family, friends, strangers and those I have yet to meet.” She explained that the “outpouring of love” helped her younger self “settle in and feel safe now, but this is just the beginning.”

The Me & U singer continued: “Domestic violence is THE problem. It made me into someone I never thought I would become. Thanks to hard work, I am better today, but I will always have to recover from my past.”

Since ending her ten-year on-off relationship with Combs, Ventura has married personal trainer Alex Fine, with whom she now has two daughters, Sunny (3) and Frankie (4).

In her statement, Ventura also wrote, “Thank you to everyone who has taken the time to take this matter seriously. All I ask is that EVERYONE opens their hearts to believe the victims the first time. It takes a lot of heart to speak the truth from a situation where you were powerless.”

“I extend my hand to those who still live in fear. Reach out to your people, don’t cut off contact. No one should carry this burden alone. The road to healing is never over, but this support means the world to me. Thank you.”

The video, which shows Combs’ attack on Ventura in a hotel, was released nearly six months after Ventura filed a lawsuit against the record producer and rapper, accusing him of rape and sex trafficking. The suit was settled a day later without Combs admitting guilt.
