Bulldozer crashes into truck in Utah, killing CEO and his teenage daughter

The CEO of a Utah garden furniture company and his 16-year-old daughter were killed when a bulldozer fell on their truck.

Richard David Hendrickson, 57, and his daughter Sally were killed Saturday afternoon on a state highway in Ogden Canyon when a mini-bulldozer broke away from a tow truck on a right-hand curve, the state Department of Public Safety said.

Hendrickson and Sally, who lived in Uintah, were pronounced dead at the scene of the crash in a GMC pickup truck towing a boat, state officials said in a news release.

Hendrickson was CEO and president of Lifetime Products, which announced his death in a press release issued later that day. Hendrickson’s wife and two of their other children also suffered non-life-threatening injuries in the accident, while another daughter was traveling out of state at the time, the company said.
