Bronx man charged with attempted murder; NYPD seeks suspect in related incident

Bronx, New York: – Enrique Guerrero, a 20-year-old Bronx resident, faces several serious charges, including attempted second-degree murder and first-degree criminal use of a weapon. Guerrero, who lives at 190 West 170 Street, also faces three counts of second-degree criminal possession of a weapon, first-degree reckless endangerment and criminal possession of a weapon.

In a separate but related incident, the New York Police Department is asking the public for help in identifying a suspect involved in a reckless endangerment incident that occurred in the 44th Precinct. It was reported that on Wednesday, May 1, 2024, at approximately 6:15 p.m., an unidentified man fired several shots in the area of ​​East 174 Street and Morris Avenue. The suspect was last seen fleeing eastbound on East 174 Street. Fortunately, no injuries were reported in this incident.

The suspect in question is described as a man of medium complexion, approximately 5’8″ tall with a slim build. He was last seen wearing a red hoodie, black and red sweatpants, and red sneakers. Anyone with information regarding this individual or the incident is asked to contact the NYPD to assist with the ongoing investigation.
