Police in San Jose find body of woman allegedly killed by her son

A woman found dead in a San Jose home was killed by her son, police said Friday.

Police found the woman’s body around 11 a.m. Thursday after responding to a report of suspicious circumstances at the home in the 200 block of Shadow Dance Drive, police said.

The son, Roger Le, was detained at the home. After a “comprehensive investigation” of the incident, police arrested Le on suspicion of murder and booked him into the Santa Clara County Jail, police said.

Police said they were still investigating why Le killed his mother, whose name they did not release.

The case is the 14th murder in San Jose this year.
