Man convicted of child sexual abuse in Wicomico County

WICOMICO CO., Maryland – A New Jersey man was convicted of sex offenses in Wicomico County this week.

Kiowa West, 41, pleaded guilty to second-degree sexual offense and attempted second-degree sexual offense in December 2023. The charges stem from an investigation that found West sexually abused a minor under the age of 13 for several years between 2011 and 2018.

West was sentenced to a total of 40 years in prison. Upon his release, he will be subject to lifelong sex offender registration and will be required to register as a Tier III sex offender for life.
