MPD catches rapist of a minor

Officers of the Manila Police District (MPD) arrested a 32-year-old man in Intramuros, Manila, who is allegedly wanted for the rape of a minor.

In the custody of the MPD District Police Intelligence Unit headed by Maj. Kevin Bautista is suspect Johnrel Eapoñol Hordonez, wanted for two counts of rape of a minor and four counts of sexual assault under Article 266-A(2) of the Revised Penal Code in reference to RA 7610, as amended by RA 11648.

The suspect was nabbed at 12:30 p.m. along Magallanes Street in Brgy. 655 Zone 69 in Intramuros, Maynila.

Hordonez was arrested pursuant to a warrant issued by Presiding Judge Roy Gironella of Manila RTC Br 43 on June 5, 2024.

The court recommended no bail for the aggravated rape case, but set bail at PHP 200,000 for the four counts of sexual assault.
