Worker seriously injured, flown to hospital

HANNAH HILYARD LIVES IN FOND DU LAC COUNTY. FIRST AT FOUR. NOW BREAKING NEWS IN RACINE COUNTY. A TRACTOR FALLS ON TWO INDUSTRIAL WORKERS AND THEY ARE ADMITTED TO FROEDTERT HOSPITAL. MOUNT PLEASANT POLICE SAY THE WORKERS ARE TRAPPED UNDER THE FORKS OF A TRACTOR BARREL WHILE FALLING. NEW HOLLAND PLANT. ABOUT 10:20 THIS MORNING. THEY ARRIVED TO THE SCENE OF THE ACCIDENT IN CHNGE WITH A SECOND AMBULANCE. 2701 OAKS ROAD. TWO PEOPLE WHO HAVE A TRACTOR FALLEN ON THEM. THEY BOTH HAVE LEG INJURIES AND ARE UNCONSCIOUS. POLICE SAY THE FORKS WERE ALREADY RAISED WHEN COPS ARRIVED AT THE SCENE. FLIGHT FOR LIFE HELICOPTERS TRAFFICKED THE WORKERS TO FROEDTERT. THEIR CONDITION IS SAID TO BE CRITICAL. OVER THE NEXT FEW DAYS WE’LL SEE A GRADUAL INCREASE IN CLOUDS, BUT IT LOOKS LIKE THE RAIN WILL BE OUT BY SATURDAY MORNING. TONIGHT WILL BE MOST CLEAR, WE WILL ALSO HAVE SOME COOL TEMPERATURES WITH TEMPERATURES UP TO 40°C.

Workers injured by forklift at Case New Holland plant are flown to hospital by helicopter

When officers arrived, they found the workers trapped under the forks of a forklift.

Two men with life-threatening injuries trapped under a forklift were flown by helicopter to the hospital. South Shore Fire Department and Mount Pleasant Police were dispatched to the Case New Holland facility at 2701 Oakes Road after a tractor fell on two people. Upon arrival, officers found the workers trapped under the forks of a forklift. By the time emergency responders arrived on the scene, the machine had already been lifted, allowing them to immediately begin life-saving measures. The two people sustained significant injuries to their lower extremities. At the time of discharge, the injuries, although critical, were not considered life-threatening.
