Recall Alert: BMW X5 – Kelley Blue Book

BMW has recalled 703 X5 xDrive40i SUVs from model years 2024 and 2025 because the tire information labels on the door sills may contain incorrect information.

That sounds like a small problem, but it could lead to bigger problems. The label states the recommended air pressure for the tires, which is “slightly lower” than it should be. If owners inflate the tires to the level marked on the door sill, the vehicle may not perform as expected, which could lead to an accident, BMW says.

The solution is simple: dealers put up a sign with the correct information. Repairs as part of a recall are always free of charge.

Automakers recall many cars to fix safety defects, sometimes more than once. Although automakers try to reach every owner and ask them to bring the vehicle in for repairs, they rarely reach everyone. Millions of vehicles on American roads are subject to free repairs as part of the recall. To find out if your car is one of them, use the simple VIN tool in our Recall Center.
