Government announces two-day suspension of classes up to primary school level in Kashmir Division due to heatwave

On Sunday evening, the government announced that classes up to primary level will be suspended for the next two days in all public and recognized private schools across the Kashmir division due to the ongoing heatwave.

However, the government stated that all teaching and non-teaching staff would continue to work as usual.

“In view of the ongoing heat wave in the valley, classes for students up to primary level in both government and recognized private schools will remain suspended on July 29 and 30, 2024. However, all teaching and non-teaching staff shall continue to perform their duties as usual,” the order issued by the District Commissioner for Kashmir said.
