Sexual Assault: Retired Police Officer Arrested for Sexual Assault | Chennai News

Cuddalore: The all-women police arrested a retired police chief on charges of sexual assault on a 10-year-old girl in a village near Neyveli on Tuesday. The arrested man was identified as T. Krishnamoorthy, 61. Police said that when Krishnamoorthy saw the minor girl, a V student of a private school, playing outside his house, he spoke vulgarly to her and asked her if she wanted to marry him or his grandson. He took her to the terrace of his house and sexually abused her. The minor girl managed to escape, came home and told her mother about the incident. Her mother filed a complaint with the Neyveli AWPS. Police booked and arrested him under the Pocso Act, 2012 and IPC sections.
