PA father charged with rape and financial exploitation of person with special needs

Warren Daniel Mena, 31, was arrested on June 20 “after a months-long investigation” with the assistance of the Carlisle County Police Department, Middlesex Township police said in a news release.

Mena was charged with rape of a mentally disabled person, indecent sexual abuse of a mentally disabled person, financial exploitation of a dependent person, possession of a controlled substance and possession of drug paraphernalia, police said and court documents confirmed.

According to his social media, he is a father.

He also has prior convictions for drug offenses, burglary, criminal damage and escaping from custody – all misdemeanors, but his sentence for the drug offense was not announced until June 4 and will be carried out now that he has been arrested, according to previous court records.

His preliminary arraignment was held at 7:30 a.m. on June 21 before Judge Daniel J. Freedman, according to his most recent indictment. He was held in the Cumberland County Jail after failing to post $35,000 bail. His preliminary hearing was scheduled for 10:45 a.m. on July 3 before the same judge.
