Family member identifies four victims of North Las Vegas shooting

LAS VEGAS (KTNV) — Words cannot begin to describe the pain Sal Munoz is feeling.

On Tuesday, at around 4:30 a.m., he received a call from his son Issac telling him that his 59-year-old ex-wife Anna had been shot.

Munoz lives in New Mexico and immediately headed to the Las Vegas Valley.

He learned that his 40-year-old daughter Amy Munoz and his 21-year-old son Christopher Munoz were also shot. His granddaughter, 13-year-old Olivia, is in critical condition in the hospital.

“I am deeply disappointed,” Munoz said. “This is not right. He killed innocent people.”

North Las Vegas police said officers rushed to the Craig Ranch Villas apartment complex around 10 p.m. Monday and found five people dead from apparent gunshot wounds in two different apartments. They identified the suspect as 47-year-old Eric Adams.

Dasia Cullins, a resident of the apartment complex, heard the police call Monday night and was shocked to hear the tragic news of the shooting.

“You should feel safe here, and you don’t anymore,” Cullins said.

Munoz said his granddaughter may have suffered brain damage and is fighting for her life.

He said the suspect was a neighbor of his family.

“This gentleman always asked my ex to give him a ride because he was late for work,” Munoz said.

Munoz also said that his daughter Amy just completed training to become a respiratory therapist two weeks ago.

“She was trying to get her license to get certified and start working,” Munoz said.

According to police, Adams shot himself when he was confronted by police near the intersection of Martin Luther King Jr. Boulevard and Balzar Avenue.

“There was no justice,” Munoz said. “I feel for the other victims.”
