Weather warning until Saturday on the coast. Several centimetres of rain on the way.

The unsettled weather we’ve been predicting for the past week is here, with daily chances of rain and several inches of rain expected across South Texas.

CORPUS CHRISTI, Texas – Weather warnings in effect Tuesday through Saturday. We are bringing these days to attention because we expect a 60% or greater chance of precipitation per day in the region. This amount of rain may cause disruption to normal daily activities, especially outdoor activities.

Predicted rainfall

The best chances of rain are on Wednesday, Thursday and Saturday, and there may also be local flooding in isolated areas.

Weather Forecast Center – Flood risk, Wednesday

Overall, the Gulf Coast in Central Texas is expected to receive the most rain over the next 5 to 6 days, with total rainfall between 4 and 6 inches. Much of the rest of South/Central Texas is expected to receive 2 to 4 inches.

It will not rain every day and in every location. Some locations will be missed and it may only rain on some of the next 5 days. The distribution will be random each day, with most of the rain occurring near the coast.
