Shots fired at former President Trump – The Presidential Prayer Team

Former President Trump confirmed on social media that a bullet grazed his right ear but that he was otherwise unharmed. “I want to thank the United States Secret Service and all law enforcement agencies for their quick response to the shooting that just occurred in Butler, Pennsylvania,” he added.

President Joe Biden gave a speech to the press.

UPDATE July 13, 8:00 p.m. EDT

President Joe Biden said after receiving the news: “I am grateful to hear that he is well and safe. I am praying for him and his family and for everyone who was at the rally.” He added: “There is no place for this kind of violence in America. We must unite as a nation to condemn it.” He added: ”

Vice President Kamala Harris also condemned the shooting and repeated the words: “We pray for him and his family.”

UPDATE July 13, 7:30 p.m. EDT

Shortly after President Trump began speaking at his campaign rally in Butler, Pennsylvania, reports of what sounded like gunshots were heard. The former president was seen clutching the side of his face and then ducking behind the podium as the Secret Service pulled him for cover.

Despite bleeding near his ear, President Trump, with the help of the Secret Service, stood up and raised his fist in the air to the cheers of the shocked crowd of nearly 30,000 people. He defiantly told the security guards he had to get his shoes.

An unidentified shout of “shooter on the ground” was reportedly recorded on microphones near the stage. The Secret Service quickly ushered him into the motorcade vehicles and Trump was rushed away from the scene.

The Secret Service reported that there was an “incident” at the rally and that the president was “safe.”

Trump is being examined at a local medical facility. The White House has said President Biden has been informed.
