One man died and another was injured in a shooting that occurred over a family dispute in Chino on Saturday night.

According to a Chino police news release Sunday, officers arrived at a home in the 3900 block of Pepper Tree Lane around 8:56 p.m. where they found two men shot to death.

One of the men died of his injuries at the scene of the accident. The other was taken to a hospital where he underwent emergency surgery. His condition is stable, police said.

Investigators believe the shooting occurred after an argument between the suspect, 37-year-old Wenhua Lee, and family members.

Lee was arrested and booked into the West Valley Detention Center in Rancho Cucamonga on suspicion of murder and attempted murder.

Authorities did not immediately release the name of the deceased man or specify the exact relationship between the parties involved.
