One person is killed in a fatal accident in Orangeburg and an investigation is ongoing

ORANGEBURG COUNTY, S.C. (WACH) — One person was killed in a crash in Orangeburg County on Thursday morning.

Lance Corporal Brittany Glover said the accident occurred around 10:45 a.m. on U.S. 21 near Water Spring Road, four miles north of Orangeburg.

A 2009 Honda Accord was traveling north when it collided with a 2021 Kenworth tractor trailer on southbound US 21.

The driver of the Honda Accord died at the scene of the accident.

The accident remains under investigation by the South Carolina Highway Patrol and the Orangeburg County Coroner’s Office.
