Houston traffic accident: Police officer hospitalized after crash near IH-610 South Loop to Stella Link Road, HPD says

HOUSTON, Texas (KTRK) – According to Houston police, an officer was injured in a crash on IH-610 South Loop on Wednesday.

HPD told Eyewitness News that an officer was taken to the hospital following an accident.

Police did not provide further details, but authorities are urging drivers to use alternate routes as three lanes of eastbound access roads are closed on IH-610 South Loop after Stella Link Road.

The Stella Link Road exit is also closed as rescue crews work to clear the wreckage.

According to Houston TranStar, the two-vehicle crash was confirmed at 2:15 p.m. near the South Loop.
