Albany man sentenced to up to 6 years in prison for Honda crash in Saratoga

SARATOGA SPRINGS, NY (NEWS10) — An Albany man was sentenced to three to six years in prison after pleading guilty to second-degree criminal damage to property in an incident at Saratoga Honda on August 20, 2023. Sherman Chambers, 50, was sentenced Tuesday.

According to the Saratoga County District Attorney’s Office, on August 20, 2023, Chambers went to Saratoga Honda, forcibly removed tires from a parked car, and stole several personal items from several other cars in the parking lot.

Authorities said they were able to find the license plate of the getaway car and confirm the suspect’s name, picture and previous addresses in Albany. He was later arrested in connection with several thefts in Albany County.
