West Java will cover all processing costs for Ciater bus accident victims

Bandung, West Java (ANTARA) – The West Java provincial government has ensured that it will cover all processing fees for the victims of the tour bus accident in Ciater, Subang, West Java.

Acting West Java Governor Bey Triadi Machmudin said in his statement here on Sunday that in addition to covering the victims’ costs, he also ensured that all victims received optimal treatment and promised to return the bodies of those who died to their families return.

“We ensure that all costs necessary for the victims are borne by the government. We want the best possible treatment for the injured and are striving to bring the deceased to their families as quickly as possible,” said Machmudin.

The death toll in the bus accident in Ciater, Subang was 11 people, including nine students, a teacher and a resident of Subang.

About 14 slightly injured, 23 relatively injured and 12 seriously injured people are currently being treated in the intensive care unit at Subang Regional General Hospital.

Machmudin expressed his deep condolences for the bus accident in Subang that claimed many lives. He also immediately went to Subang Hospital to visit both dead and injured victims.

“On behalf of the West Java Provincial Government, we express our deep condolences to the families of the deceased and those injured and hope that they recover soon,” he said.

Regarding the chronology of the accident, he said that he was still waiting for the police investigation results to find out the exact cause of the accident.

“We are still waiting for police details as there were three buses involved,” he said.

He also appealed to bus companies to regularly check the roadworthiness of their vehicles and the fitness of their drivers.
